Planning commission rescinds pathway requirement for Pacific Lumber site plan; $150,000 bond deferred

City Manager Eric Underwood reported a Planning Commission decision reached at its Sept. 25 meeting regarding a Pacific Lumber site plan review. The commission removed the requirement for a connectivity walking path because of safety concerns related to the proposed alignment and access to an industrial property. Instead, the commission directed that the $150,000 bond be delayed until future development along Butteville and used for improvements at that time.
Underwood also noted that Planning Commission Chair Hall vacated his seat because he no longer has a business in Donald. The change to the site plan conditions will be reflected in Planning Commission records and any future permits for the Pacific Lumber property.
