City Manager Eric Underwood told the council on Sept. 9 that he had discussed water and sewer infrastructure needs with Representative Lewis and had been advised to also consult Senator Fred Girod about possible funding. The minutes record those conversations as staff-level outreach rather than formal funding commitments.
Council agreed to move the November regular meeting from Nov. 11 to Nov. 4 to avoid Veterans Day. Work sessions were scheduled for Oct. 6 and Nov. 3. Councilors also volunteered to assist with a community Clean-Up Day on Saturday, Sept. 13. Mayor Houdyshell said he is reviewing the proposed City Manager contract prior to council consideration.
These items were announced or scheduled; no votes on infrastructure funding or contract approval were recorded at the meeting.
