Town administrator Matt updated the board on the AAS bathroom renovation, saying rough plumbing passed inspection, concrete patching is complete, partition walls will be installed and tiling and fixtures will follow. "Everything is on schedule," he told the board, and officials expressed high confidence the work would finish on time.
Board member Jody provided a line-item overage figure: the total overage is $36,761; approximately $30,000 of that amount was from asbestos piping removal and safety testing, with the remainder (roughly $7,000) covering various change orders such as concrete and small adjustments. Officials said asbestos remediation was completed and that the project team expects to finish remaining work shortly.
The board noted the effect on capital-reserve accounting and asked for follow-up details in the next report; no additional funding request was made at the meeting.
