At the July 15 meeting the Maple Valley School Board approved year-end transfers intended to cover near-term obligations. The Finance Committee recommended moving $96,324.84 from the Special Reserve to the General Fund to cover a COAL loan and an upcoming paving project; the motion passed by unanimous consent.
The board also approved moving $41,278.37 from the Hot Lunch account to the General Fund to help cover kitchen salary costs. The minutes record a Special Reserve levy amount of $91,725.92; final budget adoption remains pending state and county tax valuation information.
