Commission reviews $409,900 restriping contract; change order trims scope but leaves small overrun

County Manager James Shubert told the board that NPR South, LLC was the low and best bidder for the FY2025 restriping project and asked for approval of a contract totaling $409,900.93. Shubert said a change order removed some roads from the original list and reduced the project cost by $18,331.99.
Shubert listed Lucy Moore Road and Beach Road as the roads removed from the 2025 SAP projects and said Zion Hill Road and South Plant Avenue/Griffin Road were added in their place. He said "with the change order the project is over budget by $689.93." Commissioner Leonard Burse noted the change order removed some roads and reduced the cost. The item was added to the regular meeting agenda for formal action.
