The Hood County Commissioners Court on July 24 voted unanimously to authorize the county judge to sign an addendum to the Borges Law Firm engagement, expanding the firm's scope to include general matters in addition to special counsel services.
Commissioner Samuelson moved to authorize the addendum and the motion was seconded and carried without opposition. The addendum will allow the county to use the Borges firm for specified general matters in addition to previously requested road-damage and special counsel tasks.
The court recorded that the addendum is subject to the county's consent and approval processes and that the authorization does not replace required approvals for individual matters brought forward to the court.
