Zack Richards of Knapp Miller Brown briefed commissioners on the county's cyber liability insurance renewal and told the board the policy premium increased by $76.87 to $22,970.25. Richards summarized that the coverage includes cybercrime, cyber extortion, network security and privacy, media liability and related exposures.
Commissioner Tony Cardwell moved to approve the renewal and Commissioner Todd Ewen seconded; the motion passed. The renewal keeps the county covered for a range of cyber risks through the policy period reflected in the renewal documents.
