Town Manager Lisa told the council the town had secured an asbestos grant and that a county lien sale scheduled for tomorrow is expected to result in town ownership of a property at 234 Birch. She also reported a duplex housing predevelopment grant award and said she would advance remaining tasks into the next year as needed.
On staffing, the chair announced the council had made an offer to Jonah Bollinger, which was accepted; the attorney is finalizing the contract and Jonah "plans on being here January 19." Council members discussed extending the incumbent manager's contract through January for overlap and transition support; several members agreed a consensus decision could accomplish a short extension if needed.
Lisa also said the sewer rate-analysis draft was returned and that the firm’s recommendations were a bit higher than the increases the council enacted; she said she would circulate the final version. The council thanked Lisa for her work and discussed coordination during the transition.
