The Aberdeen Board of Aldermen accepted the resignation of Officer Anna Valladares on a motion by Alderman Jeremy Belle seconded by Alderwoman Rhonda Moore; all members present voted "Aye." The resignation was recorded in the July 7 minutes.
Separately, the board approved hiring Larry Jackson as a part-time assistant director for the Animal Control Department. The motion to hire Jackson was made by Alderman John Cain and seconded by Alderman Jeremy Belle and passed unanimously among members present. Both personnel items were approved as routine business during the meeting.
