DeKalb plans flyers, QR codes and office space to reach residents without internet

Council members asked how to reach residents who do not use the internet. Singletary said the county will prepare 5x7 flyers with QR codes that link to newsletter and pending-legislation information, and will stock printed materials at senior centers, community centers and the proposed Citizens Council office at 1300 Commerce Drive.
An attendee suggested converting Constant Contact email content into a more printable, flyer‑style format for easier sharing. Singletary said county communications staff will explore that change and, if possible, implement it by the next newsletter.
"They're 5 by 7 flyers that have a QR code," Singletary said, describing how the materials will direct residents to a Linktree-style page with newsletters and other categories of county information. She added that the county will place literature in the office for members to pick up or request home delivery via the constituent liaison.
