As part of the department overview, Nicole St. Cyr (speaker 3) described transportation services that help residents reach medical appointments, senior centers and community events. She said the division provides vouchers, shuttle service for community events and rides to senior centers and group trips.
St. Cyr framed transportation as a way to preserve seniors’ independence and social engagement: "It allows them to be active... As you're aging, you wanna still participate in your community and that's 1 of the things that we help you do." Staff encouraged residents to consult the resource guide or contact the department for specific scheduling and eligibility details.
