Officials added the state is seeking FMAG for at least one other large complex, the Rogue River complex, and that total season costs will depend on how federal support is allocated.
Officials noted the approval of FMAG is an important financial tool but said suppression costs will still be significant and that the legislature will need to address funding in the months ahead. The briefing did not include dollar totals for projected suppression costs.
