Liesel Allen said the FEMA flood-map update remains in FEMA's review cycle after staff resubmitted requested information on July 16; once FEMA approves the drafted flyer, staff will send notices to residents whose properties may move into or have clarified floodplain boundaries. Allen also noted a $25,000 cost estimate for one culvert/turnaround location and that engineering will circulate memos and recommendations for council review.
Council members asked about maps, schedule conflicts for construction and whether sweeping could be prioritized after heavy rain; staff said they will ask county operations for prioritization, provide maps and follow up on a higher level of service cost estimate.
