John Schofield of Bracken Consulting was interviewed at the July 13, 2026 Brookline Selectboard special meeting as a candidate to serve as Town Hall project manager. Schofield reiterated a proposed hourly rate of $140, said he would schedule tracking and project reviews every two weeks, and estimated 2–3 weeks to identify architects, engineers and contractors the town would hire.
Schofield told the board he carries $2 million in liability insurance and a $5 million umbrella policy and that he does not have employees; his model is to work with the town to assemble a project team. The minutes record these items as the core of Bracken Consulting's proposal, but the Selectboard ultimately voted to award the contract to Northpoint.
