Selectboard authorizes InvestNH grant funds to cover move and rent for new Town Offices at 55 Route 13

Town Administrator Andrea Cameron-Williams told the Selectboard that costs associated with relocating the Town Offices to 55 Route 13 were not budgeted in the current fiscal year. The Selectboard voted 5-0 to use Brookline's InvestNH Municipal Per Unit Grant Program funds (identified in the meeting minutes as Brookline's 20% share of a grant tied to the Brookline Woods development) to pay moving expenses. Dan Marcek moved and the board approved the use of those grant funds for moving and for rent and ongoing expenses related to the move.
Board members discussed potential additional needs at the new office, including the possible purchase of a generator and the logistics of moving the town's public-access Channel 192 equipment. Alan Rosenberg said Spectrum is charging $2,100 to relocate Channel 192 service from Daniels Academy to the Fire Station. The board did not record any vote to authorize the Spectrum charge at the July 6 meeting; any additional expense authorization remains to be decided.
