Wentzville board adopts policy on selection of construction manager at risk

The Wentzville R-IV board adopted new policy 7132 (selection of construction manager at risk) during the July 23 meeting.
During discussion, district staff clarified that adopting the policy does not mean the district will necessarily hire a construction manager immediately. "This does not mean the district is going to be hiring a construction manager. This is a recommended policy from our policy provider," Brian said. After questions, the board moved, seconded and approved the policy by voice vote.
The record does not show a formal amendment to the policy at the meeting; staff presented the policy as a recommended governance framework for future projects.
