The Humboldt Planning and Zoning Board voted unanimously on Dec. 27, 2021 to recommend that the Town Board adopt the 2021 International Building Code. Paul Clark submitted Ordinance #IBC -12-27-2021 proposing the update from the 2018 IBC to the 2021 IBC; board member Bob Zirpel moved to recommend the ordinance and Brady Gaddis seconded, and all four members present voted aye.
Board members did not record extended debate on specific code changes during the meeting; the action recorded in the minutes is a recommendation to the Town Board rather than final adoption by the planning board. The Finance Officer, Kristie Ellis, and staff will carry the referral forward to the Town Board according to usual procedure.
The recommendation was recorded as a motion with a unanimous vote by the four members present (Mike Noonan was absent). The Town Board will consider Ordinance #IBC -12-27-2021 in its own meeting before any municipal adoption of the 2021 code.
