The Humboldt Town Board approved two street maintenance contracts and an equipment purchase on May 11. Mike Beaner presented vendor quotes; the board approved a $1,989 quote to have lines striped on Main Street and at the community center and separately approved a $27,107.10 contract with Highway Improvements to crack-seal the town’s new streets. Both motions carried with all members present voting aye.
The board also approved buying a small utility trailer (staff noted typical vendor prices around $2,200) to move mowers and garbage cans, citing that more than $3,500 remains in the machinery budget after a recent truck purchase came in under estimate. Beaner stated he will follow up on vendor selection and scheduling for the crack sealing, which is planned to occur later in the week.
