City Attorney James Lemon read two bills aloud for the record at the July 9 meeting. Bill #1677 would amend Chapter 340 to regulate electric bicycles (e-bikes) and add a definition in Chapter 300; Bill #1678 would accept the replating of certain lots in the city pursuant to sections 410.090–410.100 governing minor subdivisions.
Council Member Rex Thomas reported the ordinance committee has been discussing business/itinerant/merchant license changes alongside the e-bike measure and indicated the committee is close to presenting a revised ordinance for council review. No final action or votes on either bill were recorded at this meeting.
