Palmyra approves $244,326 asphalt overlay contract and reallocates ARPA funds

The Palmyra City Council voted to accept a bid from Emery Sapp & Sons for asphalt overlay work in the amount of $244,326.25 and authorized Mayor Alan R. Adrian to execute the contract. Council Member Steve Bland made the motion, and Council Member Kelly Walotka seconded; the roll call vote recorded ayes from Thornburg, Kamm, Thomas, Fahy, Walotka, and Bland and no nays.
To help fund the project, the council voted to reallocate remaining American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds totaling $127,964.27 to assist with payment of the overlays. That motion was moved by Council Member Brock Fahy and seconded by Council Member Steve Bland; the vote was unanimous.
