A Skillman representative, Paul, briefed trustees on construction progress across district projects. He said the culinary classroom tile was about 60% complete and food-service equipment installations were scheduled to start the following week. The Maintenance & IT building structural steel is in place, with interior block walls expected to begin within four weeks.
Playground replacements are underway at Northview, Central and Flint Lake; Paul said all playgrounds should be replaced by Aug. 5 except for one Flint Lake playground. Work on auditorium seating is being scheduled to avoid disruption to winter concerts, and boiler start-up and owner training have been completed. Trustees thanked staff and contractors for keeping projects on track for the fall term.
