The board approved several personnel resolutions recommended by the superintendent. Chair (speaker 3) read a resolution discontinuing the probationary appointment of employee number 814 effective 06/26/2026 and the motion was approved without recorded opposition.
The board also appointed Carly Gee as payroll clerk in a full-time 12-month management confidential position at a salary of $46,000 with benefits, effective 07/23/2026. A separate resolution appointed Samantha Smith as a special education teacher effective 08/31/2026 with a four-year probationary term through 08/30/2030 at an annual step 3 salary of $57,619 under the collective bargaining agreement between the district and the Germantown Teachers Association.
During consent-agenda discussion the superintendent explained that Devin Joukowsky is leaving for a position with the Ulster County Sheriff's Office and that interviews for his replacement are scheduled (one Tuesday, five Thursday). She said the district is reviewing job descriptions and considering different scenarios for the counselor role while conducting interviews to match candidate skills with district needs.
