Owensville board approves consent agenda, awards contracts and adopts four ordinances

At its June 1 meeting the Owensville Board approved the consent agenda, awarded concrete and propane contracts, and passed four ordinances including a new municipal code and the FY2026-27 budget; all recorded votes were unanimous.
The Owensville Board of Aldermen convened June 1 and approved the consent agenda covering May 18 minutes, accounts payables, the collector's report and liquor license report. Alderman Matt Kramme moved to approve the consent agenda and Alderman Cathy Lahmeyer seconded; "the motion carried without dissent," the minutes state.
During the meeting the board also awarded procurement contracts and adopted four ordinances. The board unanimously approved awarding the fiscal-year concrete contract to MDC Concrete and the city propane contract to Locks Mill Propane. The board voted to adopt Ordinance No. 1509 (adopting a new municipal code), Ordinance No. 1510 (amending Chapter 700 on water and sewer rates), Ordinance No. 1511 (authorizing an employment agreement with Randy Blaske) and Ordinance No. 1512 (the FY2026-27 budget). Mayor Kevin McFadden asked at each vote, "Shall Bill No [X], become Ordinance No [Y]?" and roll-call votes recorded all ayes.
