Nance County accepts FY2025 audit for public inspection; denies copyright claim until tax paperwork provided

Separately, the board revisited a copyright settlement claim that had been tabled at the June meeting. Supervisors said they required notary acknowledgment from all signers and a W-9/1099 for tax purposes before issuing payment; because the claimant had not provided those items or responded to follow-up emails, the board voted to deny the claim at this time. The motion to deny was moved by Scott Russell and seconded by Darren Nelson.
The clerk will retain the audit for public inspection and the settlement claim remains unpaid pending receipt of the requested documentation.
