Nance County supervisors reclassify two local road segments, approve utility easement

The Nance County Board of Supervisors adopted two road reclassification resolutions at its July 14 meeting, moving short segments from "minimum maintenance" to higher classifications and approving an easement for buried utilities.
Resolution 26-8 reclassified about one-third of a mile of N. 230th in Fullerton Township from a minimum maintenance road to a county "Local Road" after the Fullerton Township board agreed to transfer control. Supervisor Scott Russell moved to adopt the resolution and Supervisor Steve Crouse seconded; the motion passed with six ayes and one absence.
Resolution 26-9 reclassified roughly 0.30 miles of N. 200th north of the canal to a Township Local Road at the request of Loup Ferry Township. The motion to adopt 26-9 was moved by Darren Nelson and seconded by Scott Russell and was approved by the same roll call.
The board also approved an easement from Cornhusker Public Power District to allow burying an electric line on N. Nickel Road in the NE¼ of Section 27-17-7, citing overhead powerlines obstructed by trees. The easement was approved on a motion by Ralph Horacek, seconded by Andrew Ditter.
All formal motions were recorded as passed by roll call: AYES — Timothy Cornwell, Ralph Horacek, Steve Crouse, Scott Russell, Darren Nelson and Andrew Ditter; NAYS — none; ABSENT — Robert Voichoskie. The board adopted the resolutions and approved the easement during the regular session and will record the change in road status according to the Board of Public Roads Classifications and Standards.
