The Three Oaks Village Council on May 13 approved a Village contribution of approximately $124,000, including contingency, for a trail project connecting the trailer-park area to Harding’s Market after rebidding exceeded the earlier estimate by about $90,000.
Manager Faulkner said the April bidding exceeded anticipated costs; the project was rebid and the updated Village share requires about $124,000 to meet contractual and contingency needs. Council discussed the Village's prior commitment to complete the project and noted a CMAQ grant completion deadline of October 1, 2026.
Council authorized use of municipal street funds for the Village's share. The minutes do not list the successful contractor or the exact grant reimbursement percentage; staff were directed to proceed so the project stays on schedule to meet the CMAQ deadline.
