The board discussed a maple tree at Carver Park that was planted too close to an adjacent white pine. Members raised concerns about long-term crowding and tree health. Brian Overley moved and Larry Shawver supported a motion to proceed with removal of the maple and to place the matter on the Village Council agenda; the motion passed.
Board members also emphasized completing a planned concrete walking path tied to prior commitments with Joan Brown. Dan Faulkner noted village crews are currently heavily occupied with other projects but acknowledged the importance of keeping the walking path project moving forward.
