Lynn Schattner of Cyber Solutions told the council the current server is segmented and supports GIS, police systems, Incode and other department services and that the proposed solution would accommodate projected data growth. Chief Matt Koch and IT vendors briefed council on competing quotes: Baycom provided a higher quote ($32,781) and Sector did not submit an updated quote. The council approved Cyber Solutions’ 18-terabyte option in an amount not to exceed $26,133.93, with payment identified from LOSST funds (motion by Tracey McAvoy, second by Cataldo; roll-call vote 4-0).
The planner/vendor said the proposal would cover roughly five to six years of data growth (city estimate of 23–25% annual growth used for sizing). No implementation schedule was recorded in the meeting minutes; staff indicated the upgrade was recommended to ensure continued support for police and other municipal systems.
