Council waives third readings to make downtown alley one-way and ban parking
Summary

Police Chief Matt Koch briefed the council on the safety and traffic-management reasons for changing the alley to one-way and for prohibiting parking in the same stretch. Councilmember Beth Sauter moved to waive third reading and approve the one-way ordinance; the motion carried 4-0. Council then voted to waive third reading and approve the no-parking ordinance, also by a 4-0 roll-call vote.
