Heritage Pines board hears park and maintenance updates; mulching and sign repair planned
Summary
Supervisors discussed park appearance, a request to install an additional bench, twice-annual mulching beginning in October, sign repair and sidewalk/curb repairs; staff will meet to determine bench placement and follow up on two trees hanging over homes.
Supervisor Carol Vaughan said the front property and Paleo Park "look great" and asked to install another bench; Grounds Superintendent Tim Gatz will meet with her to choose a placement. Staff reported sign repair is complete though painting remains, and twice-annual mulching of the entire park will begin in October 2024.
Mr. Adams noted curbs and numerous sidewalks by the front gate are being repaired (an HPCA responsibility). He also said A to Z is scheduled to remove two trees hanging over houses and staff will confirm the timing. A resident planting trees in a retention area by the dog walk was noted and a staff member will speak with that resident.
The board also heard that a temporary dam was built on Hole 11 to address an irrigation break. These maintenance items will be tracked on the board’s to-do/action list for follow-up.
