Colchester High principal highlights technical-program growth and positive NEASC accreditation

Colchester High School Principal Andrew Conforti told the Colchester School District Board on May 6 that the high school has seen increased student participation in local technical programs and stronger outcomes in Advanced Placement courses.
Conforti said the school is expanding partnerships with organizations including the National Guard, the University of Vermont and Steps to End Domestic Violence to provide students with experiential learning and transferable skills. He also described an expanding set of mental-health and engagement supports and characterized the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) final accreditation report as "supportive" with helpful recommendations. Board members asked questions about school goals and how the leadership team will continue planning for the future.
