Staff (S3) reported that coordination with the sheriff's office and regional ESD during a recent incident worked well and recommended FEMA incident-response training so the district can serve as an incident response center. "We need to get trained so that we are a legit incident response center," S3 said, and recommended Tanya and another staff member start the roughly eight hours of training across modules with others to follow.
Staff also described work with the ESD safety representative and a mental-health specialist (Kira) to update safety binders and social-emotional-behavioral plans required by the district's CW. Board members supported arranging training dates and combining resources with neighboring districts where appropriate.
