Town Administrative staff told the Selectboard that the Animal Control Officer’s stipend was paid through the end of June rather than monthly, which will leave the Animal Control line over budget by about $200 until the new fiscal year. The board recorded that figure and no further action was taken at this meeting.
Susan LaMadeleine presented price comparisons for uniform and mat services: Unifirst quoted an annual cost of $9,002.16 while Cintas quoted $5,490.84. The board asked Susan LaMadeleine to determine the penalty for cancelling the Unifirst contract and tabled a decision until the May meeting. Jason Payeur asked staff to arrange a meeting with the town handyman, Travis Hale, to discuss repairs to municipal buildings. Cemetery Committee member Bill Gilding reported he is working with All Funeral Services on a cemetery inventory and plans to open cemeteries when the ground thaws; he will obtain quotes to straighten additional headstones.
