Resident raises safety and land-use concerns over Marko Road driveway; school budget notice announced

Resident Andrew Defries told the Selectboard he believes a driveway across from his property on Marko Road represents an "unauthorized Change-in-Use," saying the opening was once a low-frequency agricultural field opening but is now used multiple times daily by cars, trucks, UTVs and snowmobiles, and that low visibility raises safety concerns. Several Selectboard members visited the property at different times; the board reported no visible damage and that visibility appeared clear and suggested that Mr. Defries speak with his neighbors about the issue.
Separately, Kingdom East Unified School District representative Kirk Martin informed the board that the district will hold a second budget vote on April 28, 2026, and that an informational meeting is scheduled for April 16 at Concord School at 5:30 p.m. The Selectboard did not take further action on the driveway matter during this meeting.
