The City Council authorized the City Manager to enter a contract with Michigan Chimney Repair to repair and reconstruct the city-owned brick retaining wall at 69 S. Main Street at a not-to-exceed cost of $9,500. The motion specifies the work will be funded by the City’s Parking Fund (account 231-000-001.000) designated for road, sidewalk and parking lot maintenance.
Council voted unanimously on the motion recorded in the July 13 minutes. The authorization gives the City Manager authority to execute the contract up to the stated amount; the minutes do not provide a contractor start date or timeline for completion.
