Council authorizes execution of MDNR memorandum regarding Land and Water Conservation Fund grants and wastewater project impacts

Grand Ledge City Council on July 13 authorized the City Manager to execute a Michigan Department of Natural Resources memorandum regarding Eaton County Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) Grants #26-00426 (1975) and #26-01136 (1980). City Manager Adam Smith said the memorandum and determinations address concerns raised about impacts of the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Collection System Improvements SRF Project #5825-01 on Fitzgerald Parks.
Council voted unanimously to authorize execution of the MDNR memorandum. The action authorizes staff to proceed with the determinations required by the MDNR to ensure continued compliance of park grants with ongoing infrastructure work.
