The Town of Sherman Commission on Aging voted unanimously on June 15 to appoint Keith Barton as chair effective in July. Jeanne McRoberts moved the nomination, Merialis Lewis seconded, and the motion passed without opposition.
Acting Chair Janet Wey said she will assist Barton with the transition and will prepare the commission’s annual report. Commissioners also reiterated a call for new members after First Selectman Don Lowe placed a notice in his column; no new inquiries had been received as of the meeting.
