The Prineville City Council approved the first reading of Ordinance No. 1309, which establishes a Middle Income Revolving Loan (MIRL) program, at its June 9 meeting.
Jered Reid, City Attorney, told the council the ordinance had been reviewed in workshop and that changes would be made as a result; he specifically noted that "on page 3, #2 will be a single-family development." Councilor Scott Smith moved to approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 1309 as amended; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
The ordinance is at the first-presentation stage and will return for subsequent readings or final adoption in accordance with the city’s legislative schedule. Staff did not provide additional funding details at the meeting.
