Lora Nordquist of High Desert Education Service District presented the 2025-26 evaluation of Redmond School District 2J’s Alternative Learning Options (ALOs), which include Redmond Proficiency Academy, the Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council program, and Heart of Oregon Crops/Youth Build. Nordquist said the evaluated ALOs and the district’s charter school "have met the standards and conditions set forth by ORS 336.615 and ORS 338.095."
A written statement from Kathy Steinert, the district’s Director of Fiscal Services, accompanied the report and confirmed that for fiscal year 2025-26 the district’s contracted ALO providers and the charter school submitted required financial and enrollment information and were in compliance with contractual expenditures. The presentation fulfilled the district’s annual evaluation requirement under state rule OAR 581-022-1350. The Board did not take any formal vote at the work session on the report.
