City begins Housing Capacity Analysis; Planning Commission to be advisory body

The City of Prineville has started a Housing Capacity Analysis (HCA), Planning Director Joshua Smith told the Planning Commission on June 16. He said staff are preparing an early, contextualized housing-needs draft that will be presented to the Commission in the coming months and that the Commission will serve as the public advisory committee for the project.
Smith said the Commission will likely hold three to four meetings on the HCA. No firm dates were announced at the June 16 meeting; staff indicated the draft would be forthcoming for review and public input.
