City Administrator W. Scott Jorgensen told the council the proposed skate park design has been completed and that "the upgrade to the skate park has an estimated cost of $620,000." He recommended the Parks Committee meet in January to brainstorm funding sources and grant opportunities.
Mayor Jerry Cole emphasized the city is not obligated to fully fund the project and noted grants are available; the council agreed by consensus to schedule a Parks Committee meeting on Jan. 12 to explore fundraising and next steps.
