Charlie Krebs, the district engineer, presented a revised scope of work for the Seaside & Master Drainage Project designed to allow operations staff to make changes while preserving the project's original intent. He said MRI expects work to commence within two to three weeks.
Krebs also presented ancillary costs from Irrigation Concepts: $4,002.50 to repair damaged wiring and about $1,300 each to raise seven to eight irrigation heads. On motion by Kurt Blumenthal and seconded by Bob Schultz, the board approved the change order to repair wiring and raise irrigation heads in a not-to-exceed amount of $15,000.
The approved change order is intended to address immediate irrigation damage and allow the drainage work to proceed without delay; the board authorized staff to move forward under the stated not-to-exceed limit.
