Board authorizes RG Architects for gatehouse redesign, approves $62,500 deferred cost plan

Eric Long presented a fee proposal from RG Architects, P.A. to redesign two gatehouses for the River Club complex and related facilities. The work is a facelift rather than demolition; the main gate requires redesign because low clearance has led to 12 impacts this year. Mr. Krebs noted an elevation certificate will be required and construction plans may exist in scanned files.
The Board discussed funding and delivery: Mr. Long asked to book the $62,500 expenditure as a reimbursable, to be invoiced to the CDD when financing is issued. The Board authorized Bowman to retain RG as a subconsultant and authorized the Chair to execute documents after review by District Counsel and the District Manager (motion by Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Terry Mountford; approved "with all in favor"). Mr. Long will lead the projects and Mr. Blumenthal will serve as Board liaison for monthly updates.
