Board reviews Traffic Calming Assessment; radar signs and golf-cart guidance planned

District Engineer Charlie Krebs reviewed the draft Traffic Calming Assessment 2025 and described Tier 1 and Tier 2 strategies; he said ‘‘Three permanent and one mobile speed radar signs will be delivered throughout the property the first week in February’’ and reported that speeding violations have decreased.
Board members discussed education-based road, bike and golf-cart safety measures and asked Krebs to update Page 9 of the report to include the Traffic Study conclusion. The board agreed to inform residents about the existing mandates and to consider installing signs prohibiting golf-cart passing at the front entrance and crosswalks; Pelican Sound’s board is also considering changes to its traffic violation bylaws.
