Committee hears equipment, automation needs for Sheriff’s Office; roof noted outside proposal

During a June 16 update from Schneider Electric, Conner told the Vernon County Finance Committee that the vendor's scope would focus on boilers, chillers and building automation at multiple county sites, including the Sheriff’s Office, the Erlandson, the Banta and the Courthouse/Annex. "The presentation covered more specifics on the Sheriff’s Office boilers and chillers and system automations of the Sheriff’s Office, the Erlandson, the Banta, and the Courthouse/Annex," the presentation record states.
Committee members also heard that a new roof for the Sheriff’s Office needs to be done soon but was not included in Schneider’s proposal. The committee expressed interest in seeing countywide budget figures before committing to specific facility projects; Schneider asked for a budget target so it can provide cost estimates and supporting documents by the end of July.
