The Trappe Town Council voted Aug. 7 to purchase two public-works vehicles from vendor IG Burton using ARPA funds. The vehicles identified in the minutes are a 2024 3500 Chevy Silverado 4WD with utility bed and snow plow (quote 1) and a 2024 2500 Chevy Silverado 4WD with utility bed (quote 3); the Council set a maximum combined purchase price of $150,000.
President Schmidt said he would ask whether the 3500's utility bed could be swapped for a regular bed. The Council's motion also directed staff to pursue related infrastructure procurements elsewhere in the agenda: issuing RFPs for sewer-main camera inspection and water-meter/radio-read replacement and obtaining pricing for fencing and cameras at wellhouses, the water tower and the treatment plant.
