President Schmidt read the resolution at a public hearing before the Council, and Attorney Lyndsey Ryan said the Trappe Planning Commission had reviewed and recommended the change.
No members of the public spoke during the hearing, and the Council voted to adopt the resolution without objection. The Council's action formally adds Trappe to the Stories of the Chesapeake Heritage Area; the minutes record that the Planning Commission had already adopted a recommending resolution to amend the Comprehensive Plan.
