Chair Jim Hoyt moved to permit the department to apply; Selectman David Kelly seconded and the motion passed with none opposed. Nixon told the board the grant application had already been submitted because of timing constraints. If awarded, the grant would fund the bulk of the purchase while the listed town contribution would cover the remainder as presented at the meeting. The board took no additional funding action at the June 17 meeting.
