Sue Coakley, chair of Putney's Planning Commission, updated the Selectboard on multiple planning initiatives at the May 13 meeting. Coakley said the commission faces difficulty revising the 120-page Zoning Bylaws and Subdivision Regulations and plans to contract the rewrite with a target completion date in June.
Coakley also announced Comprehensive Village Plan design workshops June 11'13 at Next Stage and reported the Route 5/Main Street signaled crosswalk project is ahead of schedule. She noted that final comments on the Hi-Lo Biddy 5 MW Energy Storage Battery Project are expected by May 22 and recommended the town adopt an Enhanced Energy Plan so Putney would have a say in the siting of energy facilities.
The Selectboard welcomed the Planning Commission's assistance in drafting a revised Town Plan and implementation steps will be scheduled as the contracted work and workshops are confirmed.
