Selectboard approves $1.17 million in warrants; payroll $22,809.06

The Putney Selectboard approved payroll and accounts-payable warrants at its May 27 meeting. Town Manager Karen Astley presented a payroll warrant for $22,809.06 and an accounts payable warrant totaling $1,167,220.23; Astley said the largest single item was fourth-quarter education taxes and that fuel costs and consultant (Greenman-Pederson Inc.) expenses have risen.
Aileen Tulloch moved to approve the warrants and Rebecca “Bex” Slattery seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Astley also reported the town’s salt shed is full to help manage winter price uncertainty.
